Trinity Church is looking for a half time Rector. It is one of the most beautiful churches in the Diocese of Central New York and is located in the Finger Lakes in the historic community of Seneca Falls.
After careful and prayerful consideration these are some of the traits we are seeking in our new Rector.
We are looking for an insightful and inspiring preacher with the ability to combine the message of the biblical lessons of the day with our current lives. Incorporating the priest’s own personal experiences is also seen as helpful.
Our congregation is aging but very active, so we need someone who is willing and able to think beyond the walls of Trinity to the greater community. We are firm believers that God’s work within and without the church are of equal importance.
We are seeking candidates with administrative and conflict management skills who can work effectively with all sorts of groups. Good time management is also seen as an important trait.
Last, but certainly not least, we desire someone who can provide sensitive pastoral care to those who are ill in body or spirit. We have a core lay group of pastoral leaders that do an excellent job, but there are times when a Rector is needed.
If you are looking to make a change, to start a career or finish one, we hope you will consider us. We would love to meet you and find out more about you.
